Too Much Information? The Impact of OASIS on Access to Home Health Care

May 24, 1999

The latest threat to home health care is a federally required personal assessment of patients. The Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) requires all home health care agencies that accept Medicare to complete a 19-page survey for each patient -- whether or not that patient is covered by Medicare. The hearing will examine the value of the assessment.
