Preparing Americans for Retirement: The Roadblocks to Increased Savings

Joint hearing of the Senate Special Committee on Aging and the Employer-Employee Relations Subcommitee of the House Education and Workforce Committee

The hearing will identify the retirement savings barriers for individuals and ways to educate individuals about the importance of saving. The committee and the subcommittee will release a new nationwide survey showing why many small businesses do not offer their employees retirement savings plans and what would encourage them to do so.
