Betrayal: The Quality of Care in California Nursing Homes

July 28, 1998



The hearing will include testimony from family members of former nursing home resident's, current and former nursing home employees and a top official of the General Accounting Office (GAO). The GAO official will present the results of the agency's nearly year-long investigation into allegations of neglect in California nursing homes. Last October, Grassley requestd the GAO investigation after the allegations came to his attention.
