As we continue to pray for the safety and security of those impacted by Hurricane Harvey, and express gratitude to the emergency workers and volunteers engaged in rescue and recovery efforts, we are reminded of the importance of preparedness. And, that means ensuring that older adults and individuals with disabilities are taken into account in the development of disaster response plans in preparation for an emergency.
